Empty Castles

the white marbles won’t talk

they haven’t seen the long walk

the shiny floors won’t smile

they haven’t seen the last mile

the tall mirrors will tell who you are

and show the face of a human far

the silver plates will ask for fruits

like beautiful flowers without roots

the royal bedsheets will feel hard

colder than the grasses of the yard

the renowned wine will help forget

painful stories and endings of regret

the lavish paintings on walls will sing

the beauty of the flowers and the spring

shapes of the exotic vases will show

the twisted riddles of the love you owe

high ceilings with chandelier will reflect

your shallow thinking that you neglect

my love, even if blessed with all the cost

you will remember what you have lost
