Would you fly with me?
He asked, I slowly replied
But not so high, I m afraid
I m doubtful if he heeded
And as if I never knew
How high I came with him
Perhaps he was noticing
Other birds that I wasn’t
Suddenly he said, look down
I fell, I could see no one
I was left behind and I
Struggled hard not to fall
And fly again, but I wonder
Was it not harder on his part
To say so and teach me flying
and believe that I will not fall
